Wow. I could have never imagined that you would be on the wrong side of history. What a ride. Losing to an 8th seed is tough. I am not exactly sure what is worse; having a bad season not making it to the playoffs or making it to the playoffs and being swept in the first round. Either way I know that it is a tough time for you.
A team with the Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year would be primed to make it all the way to the finals. It was a truly a joy to watch you dominate this season and while it may have seemed that the stars were aligned to win another championship, life just lifes you know? Try to take solace in the fact that New York was not some regular old 8th seed; they just found their stride at the right time.
Keep your head up love. You will have been an example of what greatness is, and it is not always determined by the number of rings what you have earned. You have a great leader in Reeve with a bright future ahead of you.
