It is playoff time baby! This time of year is always bittersweet. While we are closer to the end of a historic season; we are about to see some of the best basketball in the playoffs. Every team gives their all. Making it to this stage and beyond is what teams have put in the work to be. While I am biased, there are some tough predictions for me.

I must say that I do not believe that none of these teams will be swept. All matchups will end in 2-1. The regular season records to not matter. Every team has the potential to go all of the way.

Minnesota Lynx vs. New York Liberty

The Lynx will win 2-1. Minnesota have been at the top of the standings for the majority of the season. They are solid. NY has had their share of issues due to injury and they just have a different vibe this season. At times they seem to gel and others they seem a bit lost. NY will have to be careful and minimize mistakes because the Lynx will capitalize on all of them. The only reason why I have the Liberty sneaking one in is because you can never ever count Stewie out.

Atlanta Dream vs. Washington Mystics

The Mystics for whatever reason have been deemed the ‘Young Hoes’. The way that has made me cackle all season has been wild. They will sneak one in because of their size. I do not believe that Atlanta will be able to sweep that. The success of Washington was a bit of a surprise. They believe in each other and they play freely. They will not go down without a serious fight. The only way that Washington can knock out the Dream is IF and you see that is a big IF Atlanta’s backcourt struggles. Also, I may be biased. Allisha Gray is one of my favorite players, and I want to see her shine. The Dream wins it 2-1.

Golden State Valkyries vs. Dallas Wings

While Golden State swept Dallas during the regular season, things start over 0-0. MY Wings will not be getting swept in this series. I also have to be honest; the Valkyries are too tough. They did not make it all of this way to be shut down in the first round. Dallas has always been good at picking out talent. They have never been good at retaining that talent. How wild would it be for Veronica Burton and Kayla Thornton to kill the playoff dreams of knockout their former team. Sure, it would suck for all of us Wings fans, but I really like the Valkyries. Golden State is actually my pick to win it all. They say defense wins championships and Golden State is the best. Either way I know that THE Paige Bueckers will show out, but Golden State will win 2-1.

Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever

Initially, I thought that the Fever would be the one team to get swept. The Aces are going to win BIG in their two wins against Indiana. The only reason why I believe that the Fever can sneak one in is because of Kelsey Mitchell. Her hand is way too hot and if she gets just a smidge of support from her teammates, they could get one win at home. Remember, A’ja Wilson is from THAT GIRL University and with all of the talent around here it will be close to impossible for Indy to knock them out in the first round. I absolutely love Las Vegas, and they know what it takes to make it to the top. Overall, it will just be too much for the Fever to handle.
