Mabrey tied the all-time WNBA single-game scoring record with 53 points against the Los Angeles Sparks June 25.
There is now a three-way tie. Liz Cambage was first to set the record in 2018. A’ja Wilson matched the record in 2023.
We can add Isabelle Harrison to the list of players that leave Dallas and flourish. Harrison is having a career year averaging 13.1 points per game.
As former teammates, Mabrey and Harrison, are a good foundation to start. Then, add Brittney Sykes to the mix and you have a good core to build around.
